Clothing suggestions
Temperatures are likely to vary from 90-100F in Boulder, 80-90+F in the mountain towns, and below freezing (maybe 25-30F) at night above treeline. This makes packing extra fun. :)
Myself, I'm thinking along these lines:
- a waterproof or -resistant shell
- a warm upper-body layer (I'm thinking fleece and/or my GoLite down jacket) (pants are plenty for lower-body warmth)
- a pair or two of long pants (one lightweight, one Carhartt)
- a couple pairs of shorts
- sturdy, comfy shoes
